SOCIAL STUDIES DIARY

Beyond the Invisible Wall

Beyond the Invisible Wall

The other day I heard you call
You’re just beyond the invisible wall

Life is a cycle from beginning to end
We lose our parents we lose a friend

Life is a river on the way to the sea
A timely march that we cannot foresee

You’ve been gone from me for a while
Thinking of you still makes me smile

* * * *

The other day I heard you call
You’re just beyond the invisible wall

Christ died on a cross to save us from sin
He returned from a land where we’ve never been

Christ told of a FATHER who loves us still
Because of the way his son paid our bill

Christ shed his blood so we might find
A better way of being kind

* * * *

Just the other day I heard you call
You’re just beyond the invisible wall

On those days when you can’t be heard
I turn to the Bible to study Christ’s word

I go to church and call on the Lord
It’s a price that I can afford

When trouble calls I kneel and pray
God is with me both night and day

When storms threaten to make me fall
My hope may be in an altar call

* * * *

Just the other day I heard you call
You’re just beyond the invisible wall

When our life’s journey nears its end
Christ will stand by me and be my friend

He will show me a city beyond the sea
He will open the heavenly gates for me

He will show me a world without pain
Give me a new life that is my gain

Life is a river with many a bend
It’s full of beginnings but never an end

Just the other day I heard you call
You’re just beyond the invisible wall
